What You'll Need
- Your FeatherLight Fenders (each fender can be used front or rear)
- The high-quality zip ties included with your purchase
- Scissors or side cutters (to trim zip ties)
Installation Steps
Step 1: Choose Your Configuration
Each FeatherLight fender is identical and can be mounted on either the front or rear wheel. Position the curved side facing down toward the tire.
Step 2: Position the Fender
- Front: Place the fender beneath your down tube or attached to the fork legs, centered over the wheel.
- Rear: Position under your seat post, seat tube, or along the seat stays.
Step 3: Thread the Zip Ties
Insert zip ties through the pre-punched holes in the fender and wrap around your frame tubes. The holes are already positioned for optimal mounting points.
Step 4: Adjust and Secure
- Center the fender over the wheel
- Leave 1-2 inches of clearance above the tire
- Pull zip ties tight by hand, then snug them firmly
- Trim the excess zip tie tails
Step 5: Test and Adjust
Spin your wheel to confirm the fender doesn't contact the tire at any point. Make minor adjustments as needed before your first ride.
