Our rubber and molded products should have a consistent, uniform surface texture. If you notice scratches, shiny marks, or uneven texture that differs from product photos, we want to make it right.
What Are Tooling Marks?
Tooling marks appear as:
- Shiny scratches or lines on a matte surface
- Imprints or impressions that don't match the intended texture
- Inconsistent surface finish compared to product images
- Visible scratches on the front-facing surface
These can occur when manufacturing molds become scratched or worn.
What's Normal vs. Defective
Normal:
- Uniform sandblast/matte texture
- Minor texture variations on non-visible surfaces (back side)
- Small parting lines from the mold (thin, barely visible seams)
Not Acceptable:
- Scratches or marks on visible surfaces
- Shiny streaks on matte-textured products
- Surface damage that affects appearance
